What is NACE 2.1-UA and how it differs from KVED-2010
NACE 2.1-UA is the updated national classifier of economic activities, harmonized with the European NACE Rev. 2.1. It replaces the current KVED-2010 and gradually becomes the main reference for registration and statistics.
Why change the classifier
The economy evolves: new activities appear (IT, renewable energy, digital services) while some old codes are merged or split. To keep Ukrainian statistics comparable with the European ones, the classifier is updated in sync with NACE Rev. 2.1.
Main differences from KVED-2010
- Many class names are refined — same meaning, more modern wording.
- Part of the codes is redistributed: one old code may match several new ones depending on the actual activity.
- New classes appeared for activities that did not exist in 2010.
Most entrepreneurs will see their code transition with an exact match — just a new number or name. Check yours in the converter.
